Featherdale Wildlife Park is an interactive animal park where you can feed, hold and get up close to a large variety of Australian Fauna. If you've always wanted to pat a koala, feed a kangaroo or just want to learn about the Australian animals then this is the place to come. Arrive early and you'll get to participate in the animal feedings. They start around 9am. Its located 45mins drive from the heart of Sydney. There are a number of routes to take depending on where in Sydney you are located. Signposted from the M4 and Great Western Hway getting there is easy.

You may want to use public transport and there are a number of tours that will stop there. Catch a train from Sydney to Blacktown RWS and board the Busways #725 from the interchange. There is a bustop just at the gates. You could also walk from Doonside RWS but its at least 20mins at a slow pace.

Probably less at a brisk pace and the cheaper option if your travelling on a budget. Featherdale Wildlife Park has picnic tables and bbq's so you can pack a lunch or take one along to cook. There is a food kiosk there offering the usual chips, drink and takeaway style foods. Here they cater to all the ages, the paths are reasonably smooth and can be navigated by both wheelchairs and prams. There are a lot of trees shading the paths and places to sit down around the enclosures.
